Black Onyx Dragon

The Onyx is a territorial dragon like the Ruby.  It's large wings make it look similar to the less detailed Black Diamond dragon.  When angry, they are good dragons to have on your side in a battle.  NOT so good when they're on the other side though.

Food: deer, fish, bulls  (my best friend calls them bull cows), cows, sheep, goats
Lair: Russia, in rocky caves near lakes
Enemies: other dragons
Gem: A black onyx attatched to a piece of gold
Maincolor: Black with a yellowish goldish belly

Dragon Age

Dragons normally (if not killed at an early age) live to at least one hundred years old.
They can reach
four hundred though, which is the world record in dragon age.

World record: One Ruby dragon lived to four hundred.  It was the dragon that started the treasure dragons, meaning it did not start dieing when it's master died living on to four hundred.

Young dragons get independence after their 3 years of being kept in the nest.

The Dragon Heart

A dragons heart is the gem in a dragon's name. For instance, a ruby dragon's heart is the ruby.  When a dragon's master dies, his or her dragon has nothing to do anymore.  It will soon die slowly which takes an hour.  Then the heart becomes loose and it can come out.  When a dragon dies, it goes to the underworld.
A dragons heart is attached to the body by a piece of gold attached to it's chest.

Lair: russia, in the mouantain area, in rocky caves
Enemies: Diamond dragons, poachers, animal catchers
